Melissa Asks God Some Questions

Glory be, My Children.

I received an e-mail from a visitor by the name of Melissa. She had some questions about things she heard on public radio and a couple of others. Instead of bestowing My words upon her e-mail alone, I thought I would share the questions and my subsequent answers.

Peace Melissa My child,

Thank you for your e-mail and I apologize for taking so long to return it. With all the prayers, songs, and other e-mails I get I find My time is short. I hardly have time to rule the universe as it is!

Truth be told (for I am the Truth), I don't listen to much public radio. Not only is it hard to tune in up here, I sometimes find their topics a bit dry for My taste. But, I can address the questions that have been bothering you to the best of My ability.

Should government be completely secular? You may be surprised by this answer, but I believe that yes, government should be without religious beliefs. The reason why? Many of the people in the world have different views on what God, religion and everything else should be. There shouldn't be a 'this is how it is, and that's final' view in the people's government. You worship in a completely different fashion than your neighbors and they treat religion and prayer differently than a person down the block.

To fit everyone's view on religion into a narrow scope is not only dangerous, but foolhardy. I've never laid out the doctrines that tell you (or anyone) how to worship Me or even that you must. You need to decide for yourself if putting your faith and trust in Me is worth your time or if you want to go it alone. Free will, Melissa. Free will.

So, governments that feel they are carrying out 'God's will' are speaking out of turn and using My name and being to propel their agendas of their own accord. There shall be a time when government shall exist seperately from religion. So it was and so it shall be again.

Were you really upset that Americans left you out of the constitution? Not at all. I actually had hoped that they would leave Me out of the bible as well, but that didn't happen. They made up most of their stories without My direct consultation.

Are you angered by people that are atheists? Thought the bible paints me as a vengeful and sometime angry God (I'm pretty laid back, actually) I'm not angered by atheists. The bottom line is this: They don't believe I exist. Fine. But the question they have to eventually answer is this: Where did everything come from? Granted, creation didn't happen the way the bible said, but the pieces and the process all started from some place. I regret to inform you (and all the atheists of the world) that your minds are not yet equipped to grasp the concept of 'the beginning.' Trust me, it's better this way.

Does George Bush talk with Me quite frequently? Well, that's the thing. He 'claims' to talk to Me, but it isn't like he's checking in with Me very often. I'm afraid that sometimes he hears what he wants to and turns it into his version of 'the truth.'

Rock on, God! Having Your own blog is good PR. I have a question, though. Why the picture of an old male father figure? Does this mean you're leaving out the "sacred feminine"? Whatever happened to the goddess in you?
